One Voice: This Is the Sound of All of Us
March 9th, Saturday, concert at 4:00pm at Knox United Church, Parksville

To celebrate International Women’s Day, four womens’ and girls’ choirs will join together for a day-long workshop of collaboration, mentoring, and sharing their voices. The day will culminate with a public performance of each choir’s work and a massed choir finale.

Kindred Spirits: our favourite Canadian music, uniting us in song
May 4th, Saturday, 7:30pm at Christ Community Church, Nanaimo

Join Island Bel Canto Singers and Island Flora Girls’ Choir for our final concert of the season, as we present popular Canadian songs and innovative choral works by our country’s finest composers. One set will include music of our favourite Canadian songwriters: Joni Mitchell, Jane Siberry and Susan Crowe. A highlight is sure to be the girls performing ‘Kindred Spirits’, from the musical Anne of Green Gables.

Tickets will be available through the Port Theatre Ticket office later in the Spring.


Northern Lights: Luminous Music for Treble Voices

This winter concert will include the debut of the Island Flora Girls’ Choir. The young women will present music from the movie Frozen, a piece by Enya, and seasonal works sung with the women’s choir. Pianist Stefanie Unger and organist Jenny Vincent will support the singers in this wonderful concert that includes piano pieces for four hands.

Tickets Adults $24 and under 25 $12.   Tickets now available from the Port Theatre Box Office.
There will be some tickets available at the door.
